Why is my Dell laptop beginning to get a burned mark on the bottom part of screen?

Question by dragos84: Why is my Dell laptop beginning to get a burned mark on the bottom part of screen?
After starting the laptop, Dell Inspiron 600m, there is a part of the screen exactly to the right of the “Dell” logo on the bottom part of the monitor that becomes very very hot, can’t even touch it for too long because it’s so hot. It happens after about 10 minutes of turning it on. The laptop runs only on AC adapter because it stopped working with the battery. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

Laptop overheating. no doubt. get a Lapfan. they sell em at wallworld and best buy for about 15 bucks.

  2. MrZip says:

carefully take the thing apart, check the ribbon cables, may be loose or broken, something inside does not appear to be right,or better still go to dell support and talk with a tech and he or she will guide you to the problem, you can chat with them free, just go to support, type in your serial number
